I’ve been rereading every Year’s Best Science Fiction edited by Gardner Dozois, and I’m up to number 27. I’m selectively reading through it as it wasn’t all that long ago when I first read it. Beyond my daily short story habit I am without a novel at the moment. I read Elizabeth Bear’s Iron and Wine series a couple of months ago as well as a truly delightful little book called Genesis by Bernard Beckett. I had never heard of Beckett or the book and picked it up in a mass buying binge and it is by far the stand out of my recent reading. If you are a singularity fan this is along those lines but in a unique and surprising way. Go for it.
Supernatural started last night on CW so that’s always good (except for that one time called season 7).
Homeland started back up and has promise now that Brody is finally gone.
